DK Custom Products has tested numerous aftermarket shocks over an 8 month period.  We've logged well over 50,000 miles on a variety of bikes and trikes, covering an array of road condtions, loads and speeds.   All this, while paying close attention to ride quality with the various shocks.

Additionally, we spent 2 days testing various shocks on a Shock Dynamometer, measuring compression, rebound, spring rates and travel. (see photo)

Unless you go to a custom reservoir type shock, (costing over $1500), we don't believe you can get a better ride than from these Bitubo Internal Reservoir Shocks for your Harley-Davidson.

FXR Owners-These do not fit the FXR mount point.

Custom Tuned to Your Bike & Your Riding Style/Loads

  • These Top of the Line Shocks give superior ride quality.  Not only do they smooth out the bumps, large & small, it is amazing how much more stable your bike/trike will feel going thru the curves.  It is confidence inspiring.
  • Nitrogen pressurized with a oil/gas separating piston, these dual chambered shocks improves riding comfort and vehicle control thanks to the internal hydraulic system. The large adjustment Rebound range offers excellent performance in every riding condition.  Coupled with coil over springs that have an adjustable pre-load, you will be amazed how much smoother and more stable your bike/trike will ride.
  • These Twin Adjustable Shocks are available in 3 lengths: 11", 12" & 13".  The travel is 1.7", 2.7" & 3.7" respectively.  Combined with less sag than the stock shocks, this gives an average of 33% - 50% MORE Travel. (Unless otherwise requested, we will send the OEM length shocks for your bike to you) NOTE: We do not recommend, or carry, 11" shocks for Touring models.
  • When you order you will be asked some easy questions.  Your answers give us the information needed to use the correct springs for your shocks, as well as giving us the info needed to adjust the pre-load and rebound for you.  This way when you receive the shocks they are already set-up for you.  Simply bolt them on and ride!
  • You can Lower or Increase the Height of your Bike by requesting a different Length Shock.  Please tell us what length shocks you have, and what length shocks you would like us to send you.

" After personally testing, on 2 wheels & 3, and in the lab. Thousands of miles of riding on 13 different sets of shocks, letting other folks ride my bikes, and give their input, the comparison between these shocks and the stock shocks are not even in the same universe.

These shocks swallow up the bumps.  They are easily adjusted for a plush, comfy ride, and can be stiffened up for an aggressive ride.  In all instances there is no wallowing, all road irregularities are smoothed out, and the tires stay planted on the road for great control."-Kevin

  1. Great suspension upgrade and value for the money 1 people found this helpful

On my 2016 Dyna Street Bob I suffered with the stock suspension, bottoming the rear riding 2-up and diving front end (too soft) at any conditions. The DK Customs comprehensive shocks tests helped me a lot in making an informed choice. At that time (2022-2023 ?) the DK NexGen shocks have not been marketed yet, but in the tests done, the Bitubo outperformed even the top-tier renomed brands for much better price tag. As I reside in Europe, I have to admit and say sorry that I have purchased the Bitubo suspension in EU directly from manufacturer, as it made no sense to buy oversear with an extra shipping cost and 25% import tariffs imposed. Another reason was that DK Customs at that time didn´t offer the Bitubo front suspension upgrade, just started to offer the front intiminatoes. So I ended-up with the Bitubo rear Twin-Adjustable dual internal chambered 13" vs 12" stock (Bitubo designates them as WME model) and front end also Preload/Rebound adjustable inserts (Bitubo JBH) with design very similar to Öhlins equivqlent model. I´m very happy with the setup, besides the way better riding comfort the rear shock provide less sag, >1" travel gain (>3" vs 2" stock) and the front end feels much more firmer with far less diving on brakes. In the updated test results with the DK NexGen included, only those are rated higher than Bitubo (maybe some Öhlins higher-end model with external reservoir would do better), but for the double or triple the price tag. I´m absolutely happy with Bitubo suspension upgrade at both end, very good quality in terms of workmanship, function, adjustment, and looks, the rears wer just bol-on direct replacement and installation was a breeze, no issues. Highly recommended bag for the buck, if you´re not willing to pay a fortune just for a famous name. Should I upgrade my suspension now, I may opt for DK NexGen rear shocks and front intiminators, but I definitely don´t regret with Bitubo, however, all my experience and opinions to be taken as subjective.

  2. Stage 1 suspension package 0 people found this helpful

Bitubo shocks may be the best value out there for the quality you get. No more back jarring bumps from stock suspension and the front forks aren’t diving down every time I brake. Wish I upgraded suspension sooner.

I've had the shocks for 1 week and you've sent me 10 requests for a review. Harassment! No one owes you a review for doing your job! 1 The bushing for the mounting holes are as cheaply made as possible! 2 your tech department told me these shocks are a direct fit on a Dyna No bushings/ spacers required.! She was wrong! 3 it's January, it's 30 degrees outside. I've only ridden the bike a few miles. So far, its ok - more adjustment is needed. Here is what you asked for 10 times! Remember you asked !

    Response from store

    Manny,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to address the concerns raised in your review and to provide clarification on our previous interactions.

When we received your feedback, I personally attempted to contact you to understand and resolve the issue at hand. During that call, you mentioned that it was not a convenient time to discuss the matter. I also requested that you call us back at a time that worked better for you, so we could assist you further, but you declined, stating that there was no need to follow up.

In situations like these, effective communication is critical for us to diagnose and resolve any issues. If you had provided the requested information or followed up with us, we would have gladly reviewed the matter further and resolved it to your satisfaction.

To ensure complete transparency, I’d like to revisit the initial exchange for clarity:

You emailed us with the following query:

“When installing the twin adjustable shocks on a 2012 Dyna, do you reuse the washer that goes behind the upper nut that holds the shock on? I used the larger spacers behind the shocks and the thin ones in the front of the shocks.”

    Our response was:
    “Emmanuel,
You will not need to reuse that stock washer since you have the spacers in place.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.”

This response was accurate and intended to provide the precise guidance requested. While we are always willing to take responsibility if a mistake occurs, in this case, our response was correct and based on the information you provided.

As for concerns about unwanted emails, our system is set to send only one reminder 20 days after purchase to encourage reviews. As someone who relies on reviews myself, I understand their importance, but we never intend to send more than one prompt. If there was a system glitch, having those emails would help us investigate and ensure it doesn’t happen again for you or any other customers. Even with this you refuse to forward the emails to help us resolve this issue.

At DK Custom Products, we strive to provide exceptional customer service and value honest, constructive feedback. However, we kindly ask that any reviews accurately reflect the facts to avoid misunderstandings. We believe in resolving issues collaboratively and professionally, and we welcome the opportunity to assist you further in the future.

If you have any additional concerns or require assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
    Best regards
    Melissa

Ordered them on a Sunday night, Tuesday they were at my door. They fit the bike perfectly and required no further adjustments. They have improved my ride from stock shocks. Happy with purchase.

After watching videos and reading reviews on these, I went for it and couldn’t be happier. I put 13” on my DYNA, which is 1” over stock, and it’s like a new ride. They’re easy to fine tune and the quality and price is great. Highly recommended.
